Our Story

It all began over thirty years ago as a humble study circle in the home of Bro. Tibebe Eshete. Initially, the Bible study sessions were held in Tibebe's residence, where a small group gathered to delve into the scriptures and grow spiritually. As time passed and Tibebe moved to the U.S., the meetings transitioned to the home of another dedicated member, BB, who graciously took on the role of host.Throughout these years, many participants have enriched their lives with the teachings of the Bible, and while the group has seen only a few new members join, the core of committed attendees has remained steadfast. Despite facing periods of temporary disbandment, the fellowship has always found a way to reunite, evolving over time from its original identity as "Harer Bible Fellowship" to its current name, "Zion Bible Fellowship." With the advent of online conferencing technology, a new chapter is unfolding for the fellowship. The rise of digital platforms has paved the way for what might be a transformative era for our community—an emerging "iCloud church." Now, every Saturday, the group convenes for a two-hour online Bible study session. Bro. Tilahun Mamo anchors these weekly studies, providing guidance and leadership. While the platform is designed to be participatory, Bro. Tilahun Mamo plays a central role in facilitating and steering the discussions. Additionally, Bro. Alemayehu deserves recognition for his diligent efforts in organizing these weekly meetings, ensuring that each session runs smoothly and effectively.
